Do you think that they should rename this the 'Busch Series'? Did anyone watch Kyle Busch's run for his most recent win? He has three out of the last four Nationwide victories. He's dominating a series in which he cannot score a single point. Right now the winningest driver in the 2011 Nationwide Series is sitting outside the top 47 in points. Do you think that we'll even have a Nationwide scoring driver get a victory this year? It sure doesn't look that way. How bad will that look @ the end of the season when the champion has had his a$$ handed to him throughout the year yet he still collects the hardware? Only in NASCAR. There may be other sports that would do this but I'm not aware of any. Saturdays are nothing more than a practice session with a winner for these Cup drivers. Outside of the Kyle Bush fans, is anyone watching?

I've never had a problem with the Cup drivers running in the Nationwide Series until this year. That's only because of the new 'pick a series' rule. Once this season is done and NASCAR has completed its 'points experiment', it's probably time to see if this series can stand on it's own. Let the Nationwide Series either flourish or fail. Only let these drivers run for the series that they declare and see how this all plays out in the end.

I'm also a Kyle Busch fan but I watch every race anyway, I think the new pick your series stuff is nonsense. It's even worse then the Chase to me. I do think we are going to get some Nationwide regulars winning races though, that would be something else though if we didn't.

I've been saying this right along, glad you have finally seen the light.:D

and btw that was a fantastic call to take 2 tires, Kyle wouldn't have won that race otherwise. He really did steal this win.

Did you notice how many people were in the stands...:sarcasm:..If they eliminate the cup drivers there won't be anyone at the nationwide races. I would rather see it become an IROC type series. And let the best driver win......:beerbang:

I'd argue just the opposite, there will be more fans in the stands because there will all up and coming guys with a chance for the win, not the usual Cup regulars who always win. This series did ok when there weren't 12-15 Cup guys racing every week. I honestly hope that no Nationwide regular gets a win this year, so Nascar fails once again. Then maybe they will actually do something that makes sense.

It was interesting for about ten minutes when Stenhouse and Bayne got out front.

Nice, witty thread title.

It seems Kyle is always in contention for these races. He would have probably won Vegas if not for his bonzai move on the frontstretch in his attempt to get by a couple of cars via the grass.

Obviously, a great call by the crew chief to only get two tires.

Typical California race. Exciting restarts followed by long green flag runs. I felt it had it's moments. But then again, I didn't have to sit through the entire 2 1/2 hr race. I couldn't watch it live so I watched it in the evening in about 45 mins. Thank goodness for dvrs.

And what's up with Steve Wallace? Will this guy ever step out of the shadows of his father? Hate to say it, but he wrecked himself.... again. I wish Rusty, in the ESPN booth, would tell us how he really feels.

I'd argue both of you its California and no one shows up anyway.
