Ladies and gentleman, we are already 1/6 of the way through the 2017 season and there are only 20 races left until the Playoff! Quinn996 showed everyone on Sunday that just because you may have had a rough start doesn't mean you're out of it yet. In just one race, he went from 37th to 4th in the Playoff Grid. One win can change your entire season. So if you've been struggling out of the gate, don't quit now! There are still plenty of chances for you to push yourself into playoff contention.

There will be NO updates this weekend as I will be out of town from Friday-Sunday. All Cup and Xfinity results over the weekend will come Sunday night.

Important Announcement - PLEASE READ

The Truck Series will not return until May, and all of NASCAR has a week off for Easter next week. But we will not be off! All-Star Voting will begin and there are several things I will be wanting to address next week pertaining to the changes that have been made so far and changes moving forward. Now that we have a steady 2017 population in the league, it is time to start putting together the 2017 Player's Council.

The Player's Council is an email thread among several players in the league that will address and discuss past, present, and future changes and ideas to the league. The 2016 Player's Council was more of a trial for me, and I do believe it was successful. I will personally appoint someone to the Player's Council, who I will contact privately in the next week. The defending champions are invited to join the council as well. They are Mik Maqracer83 (Xfinity) and Jakub Smetana (Trucks), but they do not have to accept that invitation.

In addition to those 3 invitees, we are looking for volunteers around the league from different perspectives:

2 people from Racing-Reference (1 Cup only, 1 All Series, preferred)
1 person from Racing-Forums
1 person from Facebook
1 person from Text/Email

Whether you were on the Council in 2016 or not, please consider being a part of this and email me at [email protected] sometime in the next 2 weeks if you want to join. Not everyone who wants to join will be able to. Last year was the first year doing this and I had to turn away 3 different people. To those 3 people, if you are still interested, you have my priority and you will be on the Council if you contact me in the next 2 weeks. To everyone else, if I have to turn you away this year, and you are still interested in 2018, I'll give you priority and make sure you get in next year.

I will announce who is on the 2017 Player's Council on April 17. Again, you must email me if you are interested in being on the Council.
