I saw this on jayski and someone who knows more than me please explaine this.

Front Row Motorsports owner Bob Jenkins, whose car was found to be a quarter-inch too low following qualifying Friday, said Sunday his team did not intentionally attempt to skirt the rules for the Pennsylvania 500 at Pocono Raceway. The #61 Dodge of Chad Chaffin was found to be too low in post-qualifying inspection and the team's qualifying time was disallowed. Because the team wasn't in the top 35 and locked in, it was one of the four teams to go home.

How much can a quarter inch really affect anything? And why did they not get a chance to fix it and go tothe back if they had a qualifying time?

even if they didn't bust them..i dont think chad chaffin would've been in the front pack anyway so..

so just because he's not a contender for a top 25 it should be ok?

just saying that same thing happened with the 48 car at las vegas a year ago..they let it go..why..cuz is one of the big teams..chad chaffin is of no importantce..so hey lets just DQ him.

The car was not in the top 35 in owner or driver points so it got bumped out of the field. Had it been in the top 35 he would made the field and most likely started 43 i believe.
