Well, this is based on the true story of the 1976 F1 season and the feud between Hunt and Lauda. While Days of Thunder was just an amalgamation of various NASCAR characters and tales from the 1980s.

Yeah, it does. I think it does look good. I like Days of Thunder too. It's not completely accurate and it is kind of a corny Cruise-Kidman romance flick, but I think it's pretty exciting in spots.
All the big racing movies over the years kind of have similar themes. Grand Prix by Frankenheimer. Etc. etc.
