The last racing firesuit worn by Hall of Fame driver Rusty Wallace is apparently missing.
Wallace, who retired in 2005, stepped into a racecar during January testing at Daytona International Speedway. He turned some laps in the car typically driven by Brad Keselowski as part of a Miller Lite promotion for its old-style beer cans. Wallace and Keselowski had identical-looking driver suits.
Greg Wallace, Rusty’s son, tweeted Wednesday morning that the firesuit his father wore is missing. Judging from the tweet, it's obviously an important piece of memorabilia to the family:
Greg Wallace @GregWallace66
This firesuit went missing from @Team_Penske shop. Considered stolen. Reward for return--no questions asked.
