OT but I was wondering, Ray also said the noses were a composite material and went part way back on the fenders,
NASCAR bought CASCAR last year and with that they purchased the composite body mfg'ing company that produced all the CASCAR cars. Last year I believe it was Bret Thompson? (#61 guy from Colorado) ran a total composite body and never had to replace it all year. I believe the GN Series are running the composite bodies this year, they're being mfg'd from that company.
I'm just wondering why they don't make all composite body panels for the Cup cars, then they couldn't be manipulated, and there would be no need for wind tunnels?
