Sad News - Terry Mayfield: Terry Mayfield, father of Bill Davis Racing driver Jeremy Mayfield, passed away last night at the age of 56. A native of Owensboro, Ky., Mayfield made his home in Mooresville, North Carolina. Funeral arrangements are incomplete at this time. "Gail and I, as well as everyone at Bill Davis Racing, offer our condolences to Jeremy on the passing of his father. Our thoughts and prayers are with him, Shana, Terry's wife Lisa and his family at this difficult time." Sad indeed. RIP and thoughts and prayers to Jeremy, family and friends.
When I was a customer service rep with AT&T Jeremy's dad called in about his bill and after I asked him if he was Jeremy's dad, he and I had a great conversation about racing. He was a pleasant man and any time he had to call AT&T after that, he asked for me. He even gave me a commendation.
