Sadler to RCR?

Funny we were talking about him today at work, I asked if he even was racing anymore. They never talk about him.

Sadler to RCR?: UPDATE: Rumors persist that Elliott Sadler [currently in the #19 Dodge for RPM] will move into the #07 Chevrolet next season. Jack Daniels wants to return, but for a limited schedule. Sadler would be a bargain for RCR. Another option? JTG Racing, if Tad Geschickter expands his operation [currently #47-Ambrose]. Sadler still has a year on his contract with Richard Petty Motorsports but would be doing that company a favor if he left. The organization would be stronger with a three-car squad than stretching resources to run four teams.(FoxSports)(8-16-2009)
UPDATE: Sadler declined to comment specifically on the story today, saying simply, "I am committed to my race team, and have a contract through the end of the 2010 season." While Richard Childress and the Emporia, Va., driver do speak from time to time, it's generally about hunting, not racing. And well-placed sources at sources at RCR tell Sirius Speedway that there have been no talks about bringing Sadler to the team in 2010.(Sirius Speedway)(8-17-2009)

Sadly, its not been that long ago that Elliott Sadler was considered a pretty hot commodity. Or at least showed considerable promise.

Apparently, his poor performance at RYR has followed him everywhere else.

And RCR is very unlikely to help him. In my opinion, his best days are behind him---and they were never that good to be honest.

I could see him leaving and the Best Buy sponsorship go to a new SHR team with Keselowski(correct me if I am wrong, Best Buy was affiliated with Haas CNC for a number of seasons not too long ago, or is my memory playing tricks on me?).

I agree, he never really has been a hit. He was very mediocre in the Busch series, followed by a lackluster Cup career. R.C.R could do alot better. Richard should have gone after Truex.

agree also. i see harvick leaving rcr one way or another after this season too. richard doesn't need the headache and harvick made it clear he's going to give him one.
