Two-time Indy Racing League series champion Sam Hornish Jr. will part ways with his team, Panther Racing, at the end of the 2003 season. Hornish got his ninth IRL victory, a series record, last weekend at Kentucky Speedway.
There has been speculation about Hornish's possible interest in NASCAR. Team officials said Hornish will make his intentions for next year known by the end of the month.

Hornish said he didnt show anymore interest in going to Dale Earnhardt Inc. or any NASCAR team anytime soon.

DEI did, but now that Pennzoil is pulling out of the 1 team, I'm not so sure.

I read this here http://www.indystar.com/print/articles/7/0...1-7227-037.html

Speculation on Hornish's future now centers on Team Penske and Ganassi Racing, both of which participate in the IRL and NASCAR. Hornish said a decision will come by the end of the month. Hornish may spend a year racing with Team Penske in the IRL before moving to Winston Cup to replace Rusty Wallace.

Interesting...but again, Rumors.
