The Championship race in the Busch Series comes to Memphis with David Green leading the points.

Go Scott Riggs !

I think Brian's going to be tough Happy, and starting right up front don't hurt either. :D

My Second Evil Head wants to start an UNofficial race thread :D

Should have let David run the race from the pole, rather than start from the rear. Certainly don't understand that decision cause Greg ain't running for points, team should be running for wins.

Michael Lewis in the 29 and Greg Biffle in the 7 spin.
I guess Biffle forgot that Harvick wasn't in the 29 car huh?

Actually, I don't know what happened...just got home from work. It seems all the point leaders are running at the front.

Sauter leading but Hamilton Jr is right on his bumper. Keller ain't far behind too.

Bobby Hamilton Jr with the bump and run gets by Johnny Sauter for the win. Jason Keller nips Sauter at the s/f line to finish second.

A intersting day in the championship....

David Green finishes 19th and looses the championship lead.
Brain Vickers finishes 5th and takes the points lead.
Scott Riggs finishes 12th and falls to 5th in the points.
Ron Hornaday finishes 4th and stays 4th in the points.
Jason Keller finishes 2nd and climbs to 3rd in points.

Standings before the race
Green (Leader)
Vickers (-36)
Riggs (-47)
Hornaday (-76)
Keller (-80)

Standings after the race
Vickers (Leader)
Green (-23)
Keller (-34)
Hornaday (-40)
Riggs (-44)

The Busch Grand National Series Championship fight is really really heating up !

:( David didn't have very good luck today. Oh well go get em next week, David. :( Randy gets to drive in his first Busch race since getting fired from the #7 car and has a mechanical failure.

That wasnt a very good decision by the 7 team to make a driver change into the 7 and keep Biffle that deep in the pack. It probably was the best car besides the 5 on Saturday, but it got wrecked early.
