San Bernadino County Burning

They should let the whole state burn to the ground...oh wait...where would all the snobs go then? Bobbyford excluded.:D

That is just north were I am going to stay in Ontario.

Like the air isn't bad enough there already. Now I have to breathe the smoke too.

Well, I won't get there until Tuesday afternoon. Maybe they will get it under control by then.

Here we go again
Let the California bashing begin.
It's pretty obvious that the snobs are everywhere not just here in California.
I'm done with this thread.

So...what does this have to do with NASCAR?

California "Speedway" is in San Bernadino County just off the mountains.

I started this thread because we've heard from the people on the left coast all year about how we on the east coast should lose all our races because we've had two unusual summers (forgetting the fact that most of the races in Southern California have been rained out since February 2008:rolleyes:).

racer8, you gotta remember that most of them have never been to California, or, had their eyes and ears closed when they were. :)

I think the Forest service needs to start a backfire starting at Auto Club Speedway.

True but im a left coaster from northern california closest cup track is infinion. That race has been around 20 years no rain delays, qualifying canceled or even a single practice rained out. Dont know if any other track on the circuit could say that :D

No, you started it because your are nothing but a little a-hole looking to piss people off. If I remember you're always the one complaining about the rain, not us out here.
Quit your I'm so innocent:bsflag:

1997. Look it up.

Always enjoy the drive to Sonoma. Beautiful weather and the nice part of California.

Fontana is nothing but a smog hole.

I will get there on Wednesday and I am stuck there until Sunday's green flag.
That is when I get on my horse and haul ass back east again.

It'll be a little worse with the fire so close, depending on wind direction. I've got 8 seats this year.

Sarcasm (the lowest form of wit) aside, do people really get that much amusement from this?

I for one do not.

I've never been to California. Someone I post with on another forum has posted some beautiful pics of California where they live.

The loss of any life or homes is very sad.

That kind of person is called a Troll.

Andy, I know you're just trying to be a smirk little "Auto Club Speedway sucks, so we should go race in the boondocks" punk.....but seriously this is the wrong way to express that.

People's homes are threatened because of wildfires. That's nothing to joke about. How would you like it if someone joked about DC like that?

Personally, I think this thread is far past due for being deleted. Can I get an amen?

32% contained today, full containment expected Thursday night. 4000 remain evacuated. USGS warns of extreme danger of debris flow and flooding in the foothill areas this winter following the Angeles National Forest fire.

Air quality in the basin should be a little better for the race this weekend.

You got that right.

And yes, California is a beautiful place.

I posted a thread about a fire in the same town the upcoming race is in for informational purposes. Sorry you think my intentions were worse than this. I post threads about race weekend weather all the time. Or, in last year's case, a tornado destroying part of Southeastern Virginia the same week as a NASCAR race.

As far as people joking about DC, it doesn't bother me.
