We're have a huge rain storm and school got cancled(sp)!! i only wish they had told us before I got there at 7 am for 0 period.. but still NO SCHOOL!!
 
At least they haven't closed your school(s) because too many people have the flu. They have closed numerous schools in our area, and the health department has gone in and cleaned the schools top to bottom. Supposedly because of the number of students that were ill, they will not have to make up the days that the school was closed.
 
Walked to school five miles a day through snow, sleet and rain school was never called off JUST KIDDING.. i can remember ( just barely ) the days of getting out of school for snow or something. It was fun.
 
i feel so young with everyone saying "I remember" oh well, soon enough i'll start saying that:p

LOL stay young that way you wont have to say those words I REMEMBER.
 
I don't remember any time while I was going to school that it was ever cancelled because of weather. I do remember walking to school in rain, and once or twice, snow. And, back in those dark ages, girls couldn't wear pants to school.

Walked 1.25 miles to junior high, and about 1 mile to senior high.
 
At least you had a portable, wireless MP3 player with a digital satellite uplink to XM radio to keep you busy during those walks uphill eh TRL?
 
Working in the rain stinks. At least I'm making money though instead of sitting in a classroom. :)
 
Oh, geez, Paul. You got me laughing so hard my ribs hurt.

The only radio we had was the big thing that sat on the floor with mysterious tubes in it. Transistor radios came along when I was in high school, I believe.

I did get a real record player when I was 12 --- a state-of-the-art HiFi! !

Hang on to that feeling cause it won't last. I always felt that I was the youngest in the crowd I ran with, but now...well let's just say that I'm tickled when there are older folks around than me. :)
