Scott Speed is real classy

I was thinking the same thing. It was like he wanted to really bust out laughing but held it in.

I never liked side show Scott. Not much talent. After a few years in cup, his biggest marks were dumb hair styles, crazy sunglasses and metro-sexual nail polish.

I was really hoping for more from him. Kinda like a modern-day Tim Richmond. As it is, he's just, MEH...

Unless his middle name is NO. Scott No Speed.Sounds about right.

How about 'Yugo'? Scott Yugo Speed.

A friend of mine bought one of those in the 80's for $2,200, new. 2 month's later it snowed just a little and I was in the car when he slid into a curb at about 20 mph. Totaled the car. lol

What? Tim had driving talent and a manly persona, 2 things Scott never came close to having.

I understand that. But when he first came to NASCAR from F1, with his experience and his flamboyance, it caught my attention. It didn't take long to realize he was all show and no go...

And there were many who thought that Tim was a bit swishy too - with his long hair and stylish threads. But that guy could drive!!

The funniest Scott Speed moment was when he showed up at the ARCA race in Springfield wearing a flannel shirt, overalls, a straw hat and was chewing on a piece of straw. :D

He must have gone for a hay ride to get a sense of what real speed feels like.

Thats a comparison to the 9th degree there :p
Scott Speed came from go-karts and the hi-brow F1 community.

Tim Richmond came from 700 HP Sprint Cars on the midwest dirt tracks, laughed at the Indy Car crowd and jumped in a full fendered stock car with ease. Tim was The Best seat of the pants Stock Car Driver I've EVER seen. Thankfully his driving talents more than made up for his antics and obsessions.

AGREED! Tim was especially fierce on road courses. As for Scottie boy, I meant that I was HOPING, not expecting...
