I don't know if anyone's been following but CNN's covering this right now.

I wonder why Alexis Murphy didn't get the kind of national mainstream media coverage Hannah's getting.
I've been following it on the news. I've also been following this one that hasn't made it out of the local news market.

I'm not sure why one got more coverage. I'm sure you, as a liberal, see this as a race issue. you may be right. I have no idea. I know that white guys are beaten and killed by black guys quite a bit in this country and the media doesn't make a big deal out of it, but when it happens to a black guy by white guys the media blasts it all over the place and Sharpton and those guys run for the microphones and cameras.

Its getting the coverage its getting because she is the second girl to go missing from that area in a couple of years. The suspect in her case also matches the description of the suspect in the other one.

Actually, she's the 5th girl to go missing within 50 miles of Charlottesville in the past 5 years.

"Morgan Harrington and Graham are two of five girls who have disappeared in the area within the last five years.
DaShad Laquinn Smith, 19, also disappeared from Charlottesville in 2012. Nineteen-year-old Samantha Ann Clarke vanished from Orange County in 2010, and 17-year-old Alexis Murphy disappeared from Shipman in 2012. Both went missing less than 50 miles from Charlottesville, and none of the three girls' bodies have been found, according to The Associated Press."
