Seems Like the Hendrick Cars 24 & 48 Are READY for the Chase..

Are you a big fan of 60's music?

Yes, Jimmies cars do seem to be ready to kiss the sky.

Both the 24 & 48 teams have been holding back their best stuff for the Chase and spending some time testing specificly for the Chase tracks for several races now. HENDRICKS has figured out the Chase points system very well since they got it handed to them that first Chase year.

Nice to see that the black helicopters are flying once again.

No helicopters they've done extensive testing at Rockinghams flat track, South Georgia's banked half mile and at New Symrna over the summer.
I'm not knocking them they Work for their money!

Didn't Kurt Busch win it the first year of the chase?

Who is this Hendrix person? The only one I know of was a guitar legend, who died at an early age. And I don't hink he was into auto race....

I always thought the elder Busch won the first chase year. Now I have to do some research.

Yes he did, I was saying Hendricks got their ASS'S handed to them that first year. I guess not everyone is use to hearing the phrase.

LOL, I do the same thing man! lol....it is hard to remember sometimes in the written word, it doesn't come across the way I say it! lol

I get what you were saying now!

This whole thing was fun to watch, because the first time I read it, it confused me too. Kinda like the old who's on first routine.

No one should be surprised to see the 48 car at or near the front at this time of the season... ;)

To be fair though, he has been pretty damn consistent when it comes to the points.

Jimmie Johnson is a points machine. The other guys want to be exciting and win races!!!!

Jimmie goes Planking and GolF Cart surfing to have his fun.

He gets paid to get the most points!!!

6 PEAT! PARTY TIME! EXCELLLEEEENNNNNT :beerbang:

JJ sure did putt around while Denny created all the excitement and handed him his 5th. I've never seen a competitor fold the way Denny did.

Denny was done when he spun himself out at Homestead. That messed up the alignment of his tires, the way they were sitting, and thus cost him any chance he had of catching back up.

IMO, Denny was done when he panicked over losing 7 or 8 finishing positions at Phoenix. He still had a 27 point lead, but he decided to drive in a panick and try to go from 37th to 1st in 25 laps or less.

I will say, after that, Ford fell apart too. He had plenty of time to fix the toe, calm Denny down, and get to within 5 positions of JJ. Denny had a screaming fast car in race trim. He just got in a rush and made a bad decision.

FOLDED LIKE A CHAIR! And now for the next one to fold, who shall it be? :owquitit:

Kyle always folds early.

Seriously, I think Gordon pressures the sheet out of JJ and while those 2 get rough, someone else may slip by.

I think it's finally Penske's year. Brad has displayed mental toughness throughout his career, going all the way back to trucks and NW. IF he gets his bonus points, which are worth 33% more than previous years, I think he wins it all.

That's the great thing about the chase this year.

It's wide effen open!

I can't wait to see what happens next!!!

You are truly are a Keselowski fan, I'll give you that. :D

lol Yeah, I've been a Kez fan for years. I realize he's a longshot, but Penske seems to be onto something with their cars, and Brad keeps saying how excited he is about some of the things they have waiting on approval by NASCAR.

He is a long shot and when the heat gets cranked up over the next 11 races, we'll find out exactly what he's got.

From an objective point of view, I could go either way with him. I'm not expecting him to crack under the pressure but wont be surprised if he does.

I'm also not exepcting him to win the cup and will be pleasently surprised if he manages that.

Personally, I'd like to see him finish in 2nd, behind Kenseth :D

Kez wont fold under pressure. He had Carl trying to kill him in no less than 3 races last year, and Kyle going all cheap and driving all over him and even wrecking him off a win, yet he kept his cool the whole time and won the NW championship by a wide margin. Interestingly, Carl wrecking him at Gateway, and Kyle wrecking him at Bristol cost him the owners championship. Throw in Carl wrecking him at Daytona, and the owners championship was a slam dunk for Brad.

I wouldn't mind seeing Brad finish second to Gordon. He's yound, and he'll still be able to say he beat JJ and helped end his try at 6 in a row.
