I am a fan of NASCAR's lower series what use to be the Busch East and there Asphalt Super Latemodel series. I saw last week on speed that Payton Sellers won the opening race of the year. This week I saw that he was DQ'd and Austin Dillon won the race instead. Anybody know why Sellers was DQ'd? Sucks seeing a guy with low funds win a race and then loose it to something but rules are rules.

Im sure he will rebound he is an awesome driver.

Why does NASCAR take wins away from guys for this in these leagues of racing but let the Hendrick and Roush cars keep their wins when they fail inspection?

Because "Big Bill" never said anything about leaving the track without knowing who won in the lower divisions.

This was definitely the talk last week on Nascar. Some were stunned that the win was taken away. When asked about taking away a win in the upper series they said it wouldn't happen because of the problems it would cause with the bookies. Your guy wins and you rush to get your money and then he's d'qd and they have to pay out to the next guy. Sounds about right. No one wants to wait 2 days to pick up their winnings.
That's why cheating needs to be a bigger penalty than it is. Make the punishment so horrendous that the teams will think 3 times before trying it. Or, throw out most of the rule book and let the Chad's go wild with innovation...

looks like the next edition of speedway illustrated will be quite animate.

I wonder what was wrong with the shock. Anybody know if the rule book for that series is posted. It sounds like a bs call.

It had a relief valve, IIRC. They had built the shocks, sold them to another team and then bought them back. They changed 3 of the shocks but not the 4th, the one on the right rear. Which is the one that they would get the most benefit from.
So its not like the shocks were foreign to them. Its not like they didn't know that wasn't allowed. Now as to why they changed 3 to legal when the penalty for 1 is the same as for 4 who knows.

they did that and it sounds like the win didnt leave the shop anyway cause Austin Dillon's car owner is the same guy I thought the article read.
