September 7, 1991: The Miller Genuine Draft 400 at Richmond (Va.) International Raceway is run under the lights. It’s not the first night race in Grand National/Cup history, but it is the first of the current Cup races. Harry Gant gets the win by four car lengths over Davey Allison with Rusty Wallace third. The victory also is the second of four in a row for Gant.
