This is not meant to stir up trouble, but I really think it's on everyone's mind.

Who was surprised that the sniper was Black? I was. I always hear comedians talk about how whenever there is a psycho or someone that does something really crazy its always a white guy. This time is was different.

I was too, I think the everyone had the sniper pegged as a middle-aged disgruntled white guy, even the media, which comes back to the point that you should never believe everything you read or see on news reports.

Most of that was likely by early media "profiling" experts. The fact that he is black actually goes against historical profiles of serial killers and mass murderers. Ther are of course exceptions, but generally they are not black.

There many many other ways that these two do not fit the classic serial killer profile. They virtually have created a category not existent prior to now.

Right HS.

The fact that it was two people is most interesting to me.

Not only is it two people.

The age disparity between the two is astounding. And the backgrounds seem to be equally displaced.

While there have been pairs of serial killers or mass murderers, not many but a few, I doubt that any have been quite so diverse on the surface.

The pshrinks will have a field day with these two. (I read "Red Rabbit" too;) )

Something I was wondering through that whole book...is that really the way the word is spelled. Or is that just a Clancyism?

Purely a "Clancyism" I believe. I've never seen it that way anywhere else.

There is a chance that among the "clandestine" activities folks that it is common. But I read extensively and no one else has picked up on it that I know of.
