Does anyone else think that the racing this year has totally sucked?

*raising hand*

Absolutely, it has sucked. There have been flashes of racing, but not enough to satisfy my cravings.

Atlanta and Bristol have been the best of the lot.

Now that you mention it, it just doesn't seem to be the same. I am hoping this weekend kick starts it. Can't wait for Talladega. Love seeing those big freight trains.

I think its been good racing, not the best! I few good finishes and battles but most races have a boring section in them. But IMO I think its better racing than it was last year! There are alot more guys up front this year! The top 30 in points have a top 10(except JB) when was the last time we saw that in the first handful or races!

Thats because MotoGP hasn't started yet! And its clear that you guys missed the Daytona 200, only race there that you get to see slingshot passing to the fullest :D There is good racing out there, you just have to find it.

The best racing has been at the two tracks most likely to lose a date next year. Ironic, isn't it? Other than that, it hasn't been that great. I can't wait for Martinsville and Richmond.

The best racing has been at tracks where NASCAR has little to no control on how the cars handle or perform.

Not surprise at all those tracks are going to be history.

I have seen better racing. I can't say that it "sucks" but I do hope it gets better.

Overall i would have to say that racing is better than it was last year. Some good finishes, some good racing especially at Vegas(best race i've seen there since i have been going...which is since 99) . Texas still needs to wear in some so that the second groove and a little above will provide side by side racing more. Of course the race at Rockingham and Darlington were the best , they always are.....IMO.

The racing has been OK, not great. It's a shame that the tracks with the best racing are going to lose dates. I guess it's just a cookie cutter world. :(

A little run of the mill this season. Not much energy,it seems.Last year was similar at least until the last dozen or so races.

I hate to say this but I think that the ARCA and Busch races have been better than most of the Cup races. :salute:

There has been one race this year that I have really liked, and that was Darlington, with the closest finish ever between Kurt Busch and Ricky Craven, but...we really have not had the best of the races...SO FAR...we still have many, many races to go this year. I think the racin' will get better!HOPEFULLY! :)

we need softer tires to make racing better
those and less downforce. They need to reduce the height of the rear spoilers, so that there's less downforce AND so more air can hit the nose of a car when it pulls up behind somebody, which would reduce the aero push. If NA$CAR would do those things, it would make passing much easier.

The racing has sucked this year. The Darlington finish was the only good thing. Maybe it was all the rain this year...

In my opinion, the best racing has been in the trucks.

Softer tires would be great. The trucks are great too, but they only race once evry six months! :p

All the racing this year has been good. It's Fox's non coverage that sucks.

Oh come on i don't see how you can say "foxs' non coverage sucks",admittledly they make a few mistakes , but their coverage is far and above that of NBCs'! I'd like to see Fox cover the entire season, i think it sucks that they have to split the season with NBC. I think if you actually attended a race and watched throughout the field you would see that there is a lot of racing going on. TV doesn't often portray the racing back in the middle of the field , where a lot of action goes on. This is no fault of theirs' ....sponsors and fans alike want to see the lead cars on the tv! ^_^

The racing has been average to me this year. Sunday will suck because of the plates, but I can surely find something else to do.

I might like it better if they got rid of Waltrip.
Darryl or Mikey :p [/b][/quote]
You can't get rid of Mikey, he's too dang funny! :D

:salute:

He makes some cute commercials. He has some funny tag lines. But, he is far from an accomplished driver. It's only been since the death of Dale that he has learned to drive. What was his record at the time, 0-263? And, I'm not so sure that's not by design to help Teresa keep DEI viable.

Yeah you are right, you can't say he is a great driver, but he is funny!

:salute:
