We get storms like this once a year, but nothing like yesterday.
This was a wild weather event. I've been looking at moving to La Plata, well that idea sounds worse and worse each day.![]()

Biggest problem here is tornadoes. Thunderstorms don't usually hit us like this. Tornadoes do hit us hard though, especially here in Southern Maryland. I don't know if any of you guys remember the big one of 2002, the F5 twister than slammed La Plata.And us in the mid-west

I saw this on the news, briefly, though the national media doesn't think the flooding there is important enough to merit more than 30 seconds of coverage a day.Well andy.... we definatly have trumped you guy

Totally amazing 12 of rain in less than 2 days has put a hurtin on everyone.
Lakes emptying...interstate closed/ one more mabey closing....100 road closures!!!!! Houses floating down the river. I'm lucky where i live is high enough we don't have much to worry about. I did fill 500 sand bags today!!! Got to help when you can!!!
