Just got off and turned on MSNBC Investigates and they were running a special report about more severe weather in the midwest.

24 dead in Joplin, MO which was hit directly by a tornado.

Yeah the weather has been terrible this year.

My friends in Carthage say everything is clear there, it missed them.

My thoughts and prayers are with the people involved.

We just went through our first tornado (F3) three wks ago. Seven people lost their life. A lot injured. It hit all around us, but missed our community. The community it hit was pretty much destroyed. Real scary stuff.

Heard Piedmont, OK just got hammered by a tornado, at least 7 killed

No relief in sight. My twitter timeline exploded during the OK tornado, apparently msnbc had live coverage the whole way through (to which I discovered Comcast only offers Fixed Noise Channel on basic cable).
