Hamilton, Jr. files for bankruptcy: Former NASCAR Sprint Cup driver Bobby Hamilton Jr. has filed for bankruptcy to reorganize his debts, according to U.S. Bankruptcy Court in Tennessee. Hamilton Jr. filed the Chapter 11 bankruptcy papers last week. Hamilton Jr. and his wife are listed as debtors, as is his company, Hamilton Entertainment. According to his filing, Hamilton Jr. lists assets of $551,825 and liabilities of $1,293,543. More than $929,000 of the liabilities are property mortgages or loans, while he also lists owing the Internal Revenue Service $198,000 for 2005 taxes. Hamilton Jr., the son of the late Sprint Cup star, competed in 64 Cup races from 2000-2005. He also has 253 career starts in the Nationwide Series. His total NASCAR winnings are more than $12.8 million, but drivers typically take home 40-50 percent of their winnings.(Scene Daily)(1-11-2012)

Hasn't Donald Trump filed Bankruptcy 4 times? It's a common thing in big businesses.
 
Bankruptcy doesn't eliminate money owed to the IRS. I'm sorry but how the he77 does the IRS let you go over 6 years owing almost $200,000 when they were on me like a starving pitbull for a far less amount, and they were quite "vigorous" in their endeavour. Bastiges.

btw, no apology came when they realized they had made the error and not me.

I went though the same thing you did in 1979. They can be ruthless.
 
Dam, now Hostess just filed bankruptcy again. That is their second time since 1930. I can't live with out my twinkies.:(
