Shane Hmiel was the architect of his own demise and at one time banned for life from Nascar. Has there ever been another driver who tested positive for drugs (coke/pot in this case) and received so much adoration?

I despised Shane when he was in Nascar but you gotta pull for anyone whose been through what he has. I like when people turn their life around.
I do agree that he's responsible for everything that has happened to him though. Had he stayed clean he would've never been at that race and would've never gotten injured.
