They came close. They premiered a fake documentary about a species of shark (that has been extinct for a million years) still being alive.

Now they have run out of stuff to show and are just making things up. Shark Week has jumped itself along with anything Discovery Channel puts out.

Amen to that. Shark Week was pretty cool for a while there, but now it's just all recycled material that we've seen before. Oh, and that Taryn ( I think her name is) is a sledge hammer.
