Funny you should mention that. A few years ago, a teacher in a small Iowa city that was all white (could have been Dubuque as it's said to be all white, which it isn't, but anyway). The teacher wanted to show how descrimination starts, so she had all the kids with blue eyes get together and all the kids with brown eyes together and so on with green eyes. The group with blue eyes was the biggest and the teacher began to give better treatment to the kids with brown and green eyes. It didn't take long before the kids actually began to fight with one another, even those kids who had been friends for years. This just shows you that descrimination is something that happens naturally in humans. It happens not only with race, sex and the rest of the normal descriptions, but think about it in terms of schools, neighborhoods, etc. You cannot make someone like someone else, or for that matter, you can't make them respect another person. All of that has to be earned, and sometimes, it never can be earned.
