I always thought this chick was underrated - and was past her prime (in an underfunded car no less) when she finally got a chance to prove herself. Anyways, she's on Race Hub tonight.

Robinson was the first female to ever lead laps at the Daytona 500 when she led at the 2002 running of the Great American Race.

Is your fact checker friends with Jeremy Mayfield?

Underrated? No. She could not win in ARCA with the best "Cup" equipment from Kranefuss in the ARCA garage. She won the pole by a bunch at Michigan after blowing an engine in practice. They got an engine from Penske that was on the truck hauling Ryan Newmans cars for his debut in ARCA. Newman started 2nd finished 7th. She crashed out of that race in a car that should have won the race. Top fives in ARCA where all on speedways where she could easily out horsepower most of the field. She should have won the ARCA race at Daytona in '99 driving for Finch but played follow the leader.

Sat on the pole in Atlanta in '94 in a Busch car and wrecked (her fault) turn 3 lap 1.

She could get out there and stand on the gas by herself but in traffic she was a weapon. Sound familiar?

Again, underrated? No. Compare her to Danica and she would be equal if not a bit better in the same equipment. Take that how ever you like it as either talking Shawna up or simply bringing Danica back to reality.

Actually make that 1 less top 5 in ARCA than she is credited for. Ed Berrier took the wheel at Pocono and finished 4th in her car. She was injured after the Michigan wreck and needed back up driver.
