Team Bam Announcement 10-4-02

In a press conference today, Team BAM announced Shawna Robinson will be taking over a new role for the team until they decide when to let her race again.

"We figured rather than have Shawna wait on the side lines until we want her to race for us again or we find someone better, we should give her something to do," said one of team Bam's members that claimed to be a manager.

Effective immediately, Shawna will be taking over floor sweeping responsibilities at the shop. "We've already ruined her racing career, so we figured we would give her the opportunity to get her face out there again. It might be only sweeping floors, but you never know where she could go from there."

Not everyone is happy with this change. Patt McGroin, the team's former floor sweeper, was upset about being ousted from his position. "I don't understand why they are having her sweep the floors instead of me. I've been sweeping floors my entire life. I told BAM that if she gets to sweep the floors, I better get a chance at racing the car."

"We're thinking about it," said team BAM's representative, "Patt's a good guy and we know this switch has been hard on him. We've let everyone else race our car, so we might give him a shot soon."

Team BAM failed to mention if she would also sweep the floors in the garage area during race weekend, and could not be reached for further comment.

RPM you are a horrible person. Very funny, good stuff. But I thought she was going to get the ride in the 20 car :p

What, it's a real article. You think i make this stuff up?

No not at all. It was bound to happen at some point, hopefully things will work for Patt, Shawna, and everyone else at Team BAM

Paull- Maybe that will be in an upcoming announcement... :)

Michael Waltrip announces that Todd Bodine will shave his head so he can fit into his helmet again.

"My hair has grown too wild over the past couple months. I am hoping Todd can give me a shiny new look, and help turn my season around" said Michael.

Todd Bodine was not available for comment, but was seen caring a couple BIC razors...

Michael did express some concern that the Turtle Wax Todd Bodine is recommending he buy is more expensive than the Afro-Sheeve Michael is currently using.

Michael said he might be able to make up the difference in price if he tatoos the Turtle Wax logo on his head and shamelessly promotes them during interviews.

"Works with Napa, Klaussner, Ritz Crackers, and Coca-Cola. I'm sure i could squeeze one more in there."

I think the 15 car has a hairdresser driving it. What is UP with that accent?

Hey now Ciggie, I wouldn't go that far.

Talking about Wawd, a new announcement might be have Wawd filling in for Shawna Robinson as Team Bam's floor sweeper... You heard it here first, and I'll keep you up to date.

Ward actually did some of that the last 2 races...you know, when he was not racing for very long...Anyway, BAM fired him. It took him too long to ask where the broom was.

Meanwhile, Mikey celebrated his recently awarded Richard Simmons School of Lisping diploma by having a nice, tasteful brunch at Thad's Fern Bar. Quiche was enjoyed by all.

:p

Which of Team Bam's managers fired Wawd? He might still be able to retain his job if he asks another manager, since none of them seem to know what they are doing anyway.

:ROFLMFAO:

Good question.

One thing I've noticed though. Through all the changes, all the turmoil, and all the :bs: that has gone on with BAM this year, they have avoided Buckshot like the plague. That alone speaks volumes.

RPM, this is the funnest give-and-take I've had in awhile. At least about racing...

But Michael goes right for Buckshot? Is anyone surprised, I think not

TN-Ward-Fan , If Paul has taught me anything, it's that there is no harm in poking fun at your own drivers. As long as nobody is flat out insulting other drivers (<cough> <cough> like tonystewart01 aka flyboy <cough> <cough>), then it's all in good fun.

And as far as Michael giving Buckshot a ride, I still think it's one big joke that just any second now Michael is going to come out and say, "Man, I hired the wrong driver!"

I heard Buckshot's practice at Atlanta went well though. Kept the car out of the wall.

What hasn't Paul taught us? :p
