Kelly Heaphy, who was with the #6 team at Canadian Tire Motorsport Park, has been fined $2,500 and denied access to all NASCAR events indefinitely for her involvement in an altercation with a competitor following Sunday's race.(NASCAR Integrated Marketing)(9-4-2013)

She should of been a driver.

So I take it she works/worked for the team? If not then how can Nascar fine a civilian?
They have it fixed where Nascar can fine the team, so it is deducted from the winnings probably. The team has to get the money out of her..good luck with that..Skeen probably had to pay it..expensive date eh?

That slap is how Mike Skeen will likely be remembered.

On a side note, someone immediately created a Twitter account named @maxslapis
Made me laugh.

It has no legal standing to do so. But if / when they lift her banishment from the infield, she still won't be allowed back in until she (or someone) pays the fine.

The crew chief was fined $2500 too, as crew chiefs are responsible for the behavior of every credentialed team member (which included girl friends, boy friends, spouses, parents, etc.)

Shana Mayfield was defending her on twitter because "max Papis did the same thing to ANOTHER driver."

What a crazy biatch. Why does she keep up with the sport? And why the hell am I typing what people are tweeting? Jeeeez

Max Papis has more road racing talent in his little toe than Mike Skeen has in his entire body.

He also has more patience than me. I wouldn't of hit her, but I would of had some impolite words if some crazy woman slapped me like that in public.

Who is the guy who tried to reach inside Max's truck and what was he trying to reach for? The master switch? I don't understand.

LOL. I'm not sure, and I was confused by that too.

That takedown was awesome though. That dude from Papis's crew grabbed my man by his face.

I would like to see a no holds barred interview with her before I make a decision about her actions, there is apparently more to it than we know.

If she had kicked him in the nuts she would have been golden, after all Piquet Jr. did it to Brian Scott and got away with it.

Driver vs Driver is one thing, I mean boys have at it and all. However, NASCAR can't have regular civilians attacking drivers and getting away with it. Next thing you know some drunk red neck will be taking swings at Jimmie Johnson.

That wasn't an attack it was a slap, and we don't know the entire story, he may have done or said something offensive enough to deserve it.

No, you had it right the first time. Earlier this week, on NASCAR Radio, they had a few witnesses to the event. She simply ran him down, confronted him, and well, you saw the race. She's a nobody getting her few minutes of fame.

I knew I could count on you and Sirius Radio to clear that up. :D

This subject pretty much took up the entire topic of conversation for the first couple days this week. I'm not even sure that they talked about Atlanta until Tuesday.

Good post.

That was a tweet that was assumed to be a joke, if that slap did dislocate his jaw he better stay away from slappin babies, the wuss.

I don't know, let me call Mario Andretti and ask him, I was at the 1967 Daytona 500 when he won and was laughing my ass off when all the good old boys were pissed because that damn furriner won the 500.
"Furriner"! :biggrin::cheers:
