I let her get away once, for a 10 year span. We never lost touch and we corresponded frequently. She is the love of my life. She's been my best friend for 18 years. I'm not letting her get away again.
I waited until her daughter was in town from college.
I cooked them grilled shrimp, grilled asparagus, filet mignon and mashed potatoes for dinner. Afterwards, I got down on one knee with ring in hand and asked the girl of my dreams to marry me. She said yes. Life is very good.:)

Wow!, hey Bobby congratulations man. I'll have a toast to you and the soon to be Mrs Bobby :)

Thank you all for your well wishes.
She's quite an amazing woman and I'm very lucky to have the opportunity to have her back in my life. While we were apart she worked with Visiting Angels, providing in-home health care and hospice services. She is curently a telemetry nurse at a local Catholic hospital. Aside from her 12 hr. shifts at the hospital, she is currently enrolled in a Master's Degree program.
My mother had been an end-stage renal patient for 11 years. She was in and out of the hospital many times in the past 5 years. My fiancee came back into my life and was my mother's primary hospice nurse for the final two weeks of my mother's life. My girl was beside me and supported me at the moment that my mother passed and I will be forever in her debt for the care that she provided for my mother in her final days.
I'm truly blessed to have my best friend back in my life.
Again, thank you all.

Congrats!! I can see that you are very happy!!! Best wishes for a long life together!!
