LOL, If I remember correctly, the dixie chicks are now what shedaisy was supposed to be. I was surprised to hear them introduced because I haven't heard their name in yrs.
 
Why do some people feel the need to destroy that song?
 
Definitely eye candy. But I thought their version was awful. When will they realize these twangy country groups can't sing this song? Find someone female with a STRONG voice. Whitney's version at the super bowl 10+ years ago was fantastic.
 
My dad thought the one in the middle was Michael Jackson.
 
Just wait it will only get worse....Mariah is singing the anthem next week for the 500, sigh i will have to plug my ears. :ph34r:
 
Personally, I think it's a disgrace when people choose to individualize the National Anthem. Sing the damn song the way it was written, leave your streetwalker costumes at home, and quit rurinin' my life!

I am not a fan of the Chicks, but they did a great job. I didn't care for W. Houston's version of the song, but I don't care for her singing either.
 
Not saying I like Shadaisey (sp) but I didn't think they were that bad. Who would you guys rather sing the anthem?
 
It doesn't matter who sings it, as long as it is "sung" and not warbled, or trilled, or butchered.

Francis Scott Key used the music of an old English tavern song. The singing should be lively, about twice the speed of most renditions you hear.
 
I did not see them sing but were they wearing any clothes this time(unlike they are normally wearing skanky type dresses)

Anyone but the teenage pop artists that they usaully have and someone that actually knows the words.
