Huh more than half the regular field in there. I'm not sure I like this format anymore, but at least it is racing....I think!???

I'll watch, if only because it's racin...but it's lost the specialness.

Hey, TexasRaceLady, followed you here from the Daly Planet. Thanks for the link.

Welsome and agree that it lost the specialness.
I didn't mind the manufacturer rule since the same car "wins" the pole (due to rain) every week anyways.

I didn't like how they kept changing it so they could get Tony in.

Aw c'mon. Why not let everyone in?

This parity crap flies in the face of racing. If your equipment isn't good to run competitively then go home and work on it, not petition Na$car to change the rules.

I've been around racing a long time, I've been both a Na$car driver and owner, getting so I'd rather watch them build partical board shelves on the DIY network,,,,,

Race dammit!!!

The manufacturers are used to getting their way.

It's working out for them in Washington.

am I the only one that kinda cringes lookin at the front 2 rows??? lol......... should be interestin......

On Nascar Now they were talking what a big advantage the "shootout" drivers have with no testing and everything.

just as interesting is having Hamlin and Tony side-by-side.

All I know, is if all 6 hendrick cars line up nose to tail, everybody else aint gonna have a chance.

Scott Speed ran up front at both Restrictor Plate races. Swept up in the big one at Daytona and wrecked because of a blown right-rear Hoosier tires
(both Goodyear and Hoosier) were junk all weekend at 'Dega.

Sadler and Sorenson scored their best finishes last year at plate races... Sadler's come close to winning the 500 a couple of times. Sorenson's got a few top 5s or top 10s at RP tracks. And Menard won the pole in the July race last year and led the first couple dozen laps;.

BIG difference in ARCA and NASCAR.......... How far will they get past the start/finish line before he is forced outta the draft?? I somehow don't see Smoke and crew goin with him...... Speed is an unknown, sorry Andy ARCA don't count..... As for Sadler, not goin to fuss too much about him, but Speed, Sorenson and Menard....... geeze..... among those three, there are what, a dozen top 5's???? I just don't like seein that much inexpierence up front, espicially with the veterans near mid field and beyond behind them...... looks almost like an inverted start.
And now 2 of the four have already had problems in practice.....
We just gonna have to agree to disagree.....lol

But with Sorenson and Sadler, a lot of those top-5's are in restrictor plate races.

Speed may not get help, but I doubt he'll do anything stupid. Then again, I wasn't expecting him to retaliate at Toledo.
