the TRUCK series has a short field?!

when was the last time that happened? Tells you what teams think of budgetting. Save what you can!

There's only 45 cups cars entered, just 2 won't make it. I remember when there was 50-55 cars trying to make the cup field not all that long ago. IIRC there were only 43 cars entered for a busch race earlier this year and they had to bring in Morgan Sheppard to bring it up to 43.

I can only speak of my local track, 32 Pro Stocks (late Models) on the roster, only 11 have made every race. The remaining 20 have started only 3.25 races. Some missed races due to wrecks and severe damage, others because of costs and lack of sponsor dollars. x number of pit guys times $22= a lot. $350 for tires and fuel= a lot. You're going to drop $5-600 going thru the gate,, to win $1500, maybe. And risk a 30k motor and 25 k car minimum.

You can't run out of your own pocket any more like we used too at any level and sponsor dollars just aren't there with this economy.

Both the Busch and cup series will be struggling to have a full field very shortly. Sad.:(

Guess I'm too old to understand some of the abbreviations posted here. What does IIRC stand for ????

Whiz, I'm with you, but instead of asking, I googled it and found the answer. But wait, there are many answers to that, but for the most part, if I recall correctly fit appropriately.

Awesome finish! :beerbang:

Then again, I wouldn't expect anything different from the Truck Series! :growl:

Congratulations Onion.

I told my son his new girlfriend sounded kind of dumb on a text she sent him. He said, IT'S TEXTING!!!!!!!! I still said it was bad texting and re-blocked texting on his phone. LOL I accidently had unblocked it when I activated a new phone for him. Now he owes me MAJOR $$ that he managed to spend messaging and downloading crap in 4 days. I've been telling him he better hurry up and get a job since I'm sick of him on my family plan and it will cost me a lot less to just pay for myself. He's lucky I haven't cut him off already. TFB for him. :D I probably just made that up, but that's what it SHOULD be IMO!! heh heh

BTDT - But he (according to him) was saving us $$$ by not having to call on the phone. Sill haven't figured that one out. Whatever...the extra $$$ is nice <g>
