Jerry from LuvRacin.com got a short (4 minutes) interview with Kurt Busch during the Furniture Row Racing media day. Touched on the new team, touched on his involvement with the Armed Forces Foundation, and even touched a bit on his anger. You can check it out on Gooses LuvRacin page, along with a few pictures from the media day.

I hope he can produce some good finishes with the team this year.

I used to be a Kurt Busch fan, but then the Jerry Punch incident was my absolute last straw. So, I had to switch to his brother. Lol Still wish him well though and hope he finds success at Furniture Row.

wait, wait, wait. So the Jerry Punch interview was the last straw because why? I mean if it was because he is an a**hole, then why did you pick another equally a**hole?

Because you don't talk to a broadcasting legend like the Doctor like that. I was irritated with him many times before that, for antics on and off the track, and after that, I was ashamed to say I was a Kurt Busch fan. Since Kyle is Kurt's brother, naturally, I have always been a fan of his. I'm not one to just up and pick a new driver. I hate that. I've been watching NASCAR since I was 8 years old, and in my 23 years as a fan, I've had 4 favorite drivers. You call what Kyle does being an a**hole, but to me, for the most part, it's just his passion for winning come through. Yep, he's a crybaby at times, I'll admit that. But tell me one driver who at one time or another hasn't whined and cried about something.

  • Kurt Busch one of the most disliked athletes: Forbes magazine ranked America's 10 most disliked athletes. "Feel-good stories can go sour pretty quickly, as Manti Te'o and Lance Armstrong can attest to. They lead the 2013 list of America's Most Disliked Athletes, based on the latest public surveys from Nielsen Sports and market research firm E-Poll. Candidates were limited to those scoring a minimum of 10% public awareness." Number 8 on the list was #78-Kurt Busch with an approval of 27%. They said, "Hot tempered and arrogant, Busch has feuded with teammates and reporters alike."(Forbes)(2-6-2013)
  • Enough said. From jayski.

NASCAR is entertainment, Kurt's an entertainer and a damn good one at that.

In all seriousness, there were times this season where it looked like NASCAR was just itching the burn Kurt and I think his comments to Dr. Punch may have instigated that. I've heard genuine horror stories in the media center about Kurt. I've heard photographers talk about how he doesn't like having his picture taken and stuff but, honestly, he was pleasant to me at Martinsville. Ultimately, the drivers are human as well and have their bad days.

I'd rather someone like Kurt Busch run his mouth off from time to time than hear the same old "This (insert 15 sponsors here) car was great today and my team did a good job and we didn't get the outcome we wanted but we'll come back next week and try to have a good run" bull****.

I mean, what was everyone talking about the first half of the season when these races were genuine snorefests?

Agreed completely. Could you imagine if everyone interviewed like Jimmie Johnson? Zzzzzzzzzzz. My issue was who he ran his mouth to, not what he said. I love how they always cut to Kurt & Kyles radio when they are complaining about the car. Are they supposed to be happy and OK with the fact that their cars are handling like crap??

Hurry up Daytona this is the same old crap by the same people but with different names.

No kidding. Whats the dudes deal? He always this cranky?
Gator lives in one of those Florida swamps . He has a very high iq and is easily bored when we rehash the same issues year after year . Seems that is inevitable as we wait for racing to start . I actually think that he likes you ,so don't take it personally.Try using a Florida Gators avatar.:D

Oh ,the rest of us have really short memories and are fine with rehashing stuff over and over . Wait ,did we just talk about this earlier ?

If you think he's mean to you, take a look at what he did to Bambi Sr.

Nice car, bad deer. Maybe you can get Johali to ride around on your hood. The bastartds would never get close to YOUR road with him on watch.

Thanks. The car actually turned out better because of the deer. You can see it now in the car thread in the Games forum. And thats an idea! You down to becoming a hood ornament Johali? I'll feed ya every now and then.
