Reckon it was inevitable, and it may not even be the first, but a pay to play driver website.

Tony has a new website (smokevip.com) which will offer info and insight allegedly not available anywhere else into Tony, his life, and his career. But ya gotta pay, bottom sub price is $40. Don't know if that is per year or a one time fee.

First one I recall seeing on this basis. Reckon if you are true blue Tony fan, it might be worth it. For some if the site truly offers info on the race team not available anywhere else, it might be worth it. Though odds are any info there will soon find its way into the big blue nowhere either through a place like jayski's or message boards.

IF it proves successful, then look for other drivers/teams to do the same....................

I won't pay to read anything about Tony! That's for sure. I've been saying every year for the last few I'd Join JG's fan club & haven't done that yet! But this year I think I will because I can get the money back on purchases @ Hendricks Motorsports when I go get team hats!

I have paid for a few things on the net! I'm a trackpass guy. I also paid to get a specail chat program that work with my favorite chat site. it was only 10 bucks! Other wise I haven't paid for anything to read or view on the net.

I guess it's the thing of the future but I'll wait till I can't stand not knowing before I'll pay to read. I read the NY Times & Washington Post daily online along with I don't know how many other papers I read. Most of them are completely hassle free. Some just want you to register.
So far the only papers I'd like to read online & don't because there PPV is the wall street journal & WCup sceen. Hum hows that spelled LOL ?

Pay For Content on the net is a Billion Dollar Per Year industry already. Get used to it.

I will not pay to read info on anybody. There just humans. I love Nascar and have for 25 years but pay to read someones bio. Not in this lifetime!!!

Paying for info on the net is a waste of money. It only takes 20 seconds to CTRL-C that info and stick it somewhere public.

How many people pay for news on the net when you can get it from yahoo and a million other sources.

The big question is what info about Tony (or any other driver for that matter) is worth 40 bucks that we won't hear about anyway!

.....this just in........Tony is having roast beef and mashed potatoes for dinner....
