Ok not to beat a dead horse about how bad Speed sucks now but I was flipping through the channels and they were playing a music award show. Now I know it's off season but dang at least play repeats of races or something....What point does an award show serve on SPEED?

Yep. I have a feeling VERSUS is going to end up being what SPEED was supposed to be and what TNN used to be. A lot of talk that the NHL will end up back on ESPN after this season and that NBC and VERSUS (which are merging anyways) are going to be out of the picture.

VERSUS wants to get a lot more motorsports programming on their networks since ESPN has everything else.

I noticed that too, had to do a double-take. I thought them having a "pimp my ride" marathon was bad enough, and now they're showing countru music award shows.

The Pimp my ride show is bad but at least it has to do with cars. Music of any kind has no place on SPEED. I was so shocked to see a music show on there I had to look twice just to make sure I was on Speed.

Which goes back to what I've said for a long time about SPEED being about the personalities not the sport. I got slammed for saying that.

That's so stupid. They might as well just change it to Non-Speed other than whenever Nascar happens to be doing something.

I knew this was coming, but people like Daly told me I was dead ass wrong.

I hope VERSUS steps up or NASCAR and IRL will be the only televised motorsports events.

But because a SPEED on-air personality (that most people hate) presented an award, it gets re-aired on SPEED.
