Sir Gluck aint happy

Apparently everyone laughed when Kenny Wallace pointed this out.

IMO, David is the guy with the wheel in his hands, and he knows the engine is about to give out. He's the guy who has to pull down pit road. If he thinks he helped his career, we'll see how he does around the HMS guys the next few weeks.

Something to think about. Who did the #10 teams bad decision to risk a yellow help most? That's right, SHR, who oddly enough has an interest in that #10 car. Hmmmm.......

But there's really a fear she won't be able to out-qualify badly underfunded cars driven by the likes of J.J. Yeley, David Stremme or similarly inexperienced Josh Wise?
If that's the case – for any driver, not just Patrick – then he or she shouldn't be in the damn race.

so glad he said this

I don't buy the Danica spin on it. Even if she weren't in the car the top 35 welfare system would still have reared it ugly head yesterday. Danica or no Danica, DR still would have to try to stay in the top 35.

The #10 is 12 points to the good, so it's hard to explain all that risk to preserve 1 point, which he actually had secured 1 lap earlier. It's hard to explain that panicked decision without factoring Danica into the equation. Maybe Tommy figured out that a yellow would help SHR. Who knows, but there was no reasonable effort to avoid it.

I normally like Gluck's writing but this article is very short sighted. Even smart people write stupid things from time to time. But this will give the Danica haters something io crow about.
Exactly. She conveniently works into the story here. I like Jeff as well but seriously? Take Danica out of the equation and you'd still have a driver wanting to maintain the top 35.

Exactly. Everyone talks about "we need to be in the top 35". Has nothing to do with Danica.

There's reasonable risk to stay in the top 35, and then there's stupidty. This one falls under the latter. Having an excuse for being dumb doesn't do anything to change the dumb. NASCAR shares some blame for letting him limp around for so long.

Would have been cool last week if they had stayed under caution a few laps longer , with Jimmy riding around leeking oil on the track , trying to salvage as many points as he could.

Yeah, because a guy leaking oil and riding the apron under caution has everything in common with last week.

Do you really believe Ryan caused that whole mess?

Ah no. I said earlier who caused the wreck IMO . Ryan was just the guy who ultimately benifited. Put any other three guys in the field into those 3,4,5 positions and I guarantee the front two wreck and one of the three win.

Exactly, they all do this sort of stuff. Should Johnson have pitted back then, probably, but he's not going to and neither would anyone else in that situation.

As I said in the other thread, DR needs a good butt whoopin period. Callin him Reutie doesnt make him any smarter.

Gluck is right.
