The Hawkins County Sheriff's Department has released a sketch of a suspect who posed as a police officer last week, then stopped a woman just west of Rogersville and raped her at gunpoint.
The incident occurred last Tuesday night on U-S 11-W in Rogersville. The 22 year old woman told authorities she thought the car with the flashing blue light on the dashboard was an unmarked police car.
The man walked to the driver's door of her car, pulled a handgun and ordered her out -- then raped her alongside the highway.
