Anyone done it? My son won tickets for two tandem jumps and asked me if I'd join him. I'm still a firm believer of not jumping out of a perfectly good airplane and passed. My wife says she'd like to try. Knew that woman was nuts when she said she'd marry me.:D

SST, if an old ex-Pres can do a tandem, you can. If Tony Stewart can do it, so can you.

I say go for it. I'd love to experience it.

Parachutists experience a 'failure' maybe once in 10,000 jumps.

i dunno about you, but I'd want to know how many they're up to before going. If they tell you they've had 9000 successful jumps, I'd stick to walking.

Considering its his first, wouldn't that skew the numbers a bit? :D

I'd love to drop out of an airplane with a chute. I had a cousin who tried it when he was 19 and made a carreer of sorts from it. He died last year doing what he loved at the age of 34. Eli was a dare-devil though.

I'd love to do it but i'd have to do it attached to someone cause there is no way my brain would be talked into jumping

Do it! If for no other reason, my basic philosophy: "For free, take; for buy, waste time."

Personal experience: I made two jumps back in 1978. I made two just to see if the second was as uncomfortable as the first; it was, possibly more so. But those were static jumps and not tandems.

After it was all over I'm glad I did it. But them, I was glad I attended boot camp too, after I had completed it and went to the fleet!

Some folks love it. If you're an adrenaline junky you'll probably have found a new way to spend money. If you're more like me, it'll be like marrying that pole dancer you shove X dollars into her whatever; you'll be proud that you did it but it's nothing you'd ever care to do again.

I would love to do it. I have no desire at all to bungee jump, but skydiving is a totally different animal.

I doubt if even a naked Megan Fox could talk me into jumping out of an airplane.

Just can't see myself doing it.
hmm, naked megan fox as the tandem jumper? what the hell, should try everything (legal) at least once. <g>
