This is why I like the people in the CSE department. My advisor is fun to cut up with every now and then.
Me to advisor: "Right now I'm doing 45 hours a week (7:30-4:30) with a paid 30 minute lunch....passing out in bed at 10pm but waking up at 2am and not being able to go back to sleep. Eric, is there a way to edit my EEPROM to show sleep=7 instead of sleep=4 ? "
Advisor: "Dear Steven,
Sorry, no, I am afraid I cannot reprogram your EEPROM. Besides, they wouldn't allow the
electroshock therapy needed for such an action. Well, maybe in Canada."
