If Earnhardt continues to be such a flop, I see him wanting to leave the series eventually.

I think NASCAR will be fine. Honestly, if fans are going to leave the sport because a driver doesn't run any longer, they ain't real fans. NASCAR races would actually be more enjoyable without the fake fans around.

I guess what I am trying to say is that Jr. has such a large fan base that Nascar cannot afford to lose that many fans if he decides to leave the sport.

If people leave the sport aren't real fans, then maybe the success of NASCAR isn't real. Personally, I would love to see the sport go back to where it was 30 years ago.
As long as JR can get in a car, he is cash cow. He brings more $$$ into his team than the owner.
Danica would be the same way with SHR.

She might actually do good. I've seen women her size hold their own in a big bodied stock car. Danica's gonna get the sponsors. Only way she doesn't have success is if she's terrible.
Good question. He did have some success early on but has fallen on hard times the last few years. His fans are the most loyal people on the face of the earth.
Maybe he should drop a level of racing for a year or two...

It sounds like she is going to switch eventually, and it also sounds like she plans to do it right when she does. That is good to hear. I think she could do a lot to bring a different fan base to the sport. More of their money means a better funded sport.
