SNL Announcer Don Pardo has died

Longtime Saturday Night Live announcer Don Pardo has passed away at the age of 96. Pardo has been the show's announcer since its debut in 1975. Prior to his SNL gig, Pardo was the announcer on several game shows in the 60's and 70's, including the original run of Jeopardy.

SNL will never sound the same.

As respectfully as I can sincerely say it, I really loved his chezzie announcements.
It had an overplayed hype and that came off as great sarcasm imo.

I wished Humpy Wheeler could have booked him to announce the prerace shows, and the all star introductions.
It might have upset some but I would have loved knocking the starch off everything but the related respectful memorial day moments like "taps"etc...

Don Pardos style was one of a kind. Respect.
