Last night was pretty warm here in NC. The thermostat is set on 70 and it never came on during the evening.
The cold is coming tho. We're spending next week in Fla.

It got down to 23 last night after a blistering 33 high yesterday...
they are predicting rain now, anyone have a spare set of ice skates I can barrow?

whats up with this weather?

its 70 in charlotte right now.

Brrrrr, now we're talking cold TRL! Reminds me of the time I spent in Grand Forks, ND. Tell you how cold it gets there...my roomie would go into the freezer to warm up. There he could take off his parka. Imagine the temperature difference of twenty below outside while unloading trucks and 28 degrees inside the freezer. Forty eight degrees can make a world of difference. Even when I worked the mail routes in Iowa, temps could at times get to 8 and 10 below and I'd have to wear a rubber mask over my face. The moisture from my breath would soon freeze on the outside of that mask. Okay, now you can understand one reason for my moving south. Snow is beautiful, but I can live without it. :D

I have a friend in British Columbia and it has been consistantly below zero F. for over a week. It was -29 F the other day.

She has a block heater on the car that she plugs in every night and a remote starter so that she can start the car from her apartment long before she is ready to go to work.

That kind of cold is too much for me. I've been in -10F and a wind chill of 70 below. Don't ever want to feel cold like that again.

Its been in the upper 60's almost 70 durring the days this past week. Now they are saying the temp is going to drop and we could get 1-2 in of snow tomm night.

I spent two years in Grand Forks, North Dakota, and Guido, those temps you talked about would have warmed the ****les of many hearts there in GF. :bounce:

Ain't no reason for someone to ever feel that kinda cold.
