Dad's hemi finally wore out the 4.5 year old OEM dodge battery. Went around the corner and got an exide 65-75 battery.

But when we told him it was an 05 dodge ram hemi 1500, he hadn't got to the computer yet. It would have been all fine and dandy had he remembered what we said. Instead, he opened his mouth:

parts plus idiot said:
Is that a truck, SUV, or car? I haven't heard of that model?

we still bought the battery, but we sure dont plan on returning!

I hate the part stores we have here. The only requirement here to have a job is "Do you speak Spanish"

Good thing a battery was all you needed.
the guy in front of us needed a part for a camry. The same moron asked him if it was 2 or 4 wheel drive. Now, that I can't say if it was his fault or the computer is literally that dumb....Because i dont think they make an AWD camry...

Just another reason I'm grateful for the small independant chain I get parts from. I dread going to a Auto Zone, Advanced, Pep Boys, even NAPA. I've got wrenches older than most of their mouth breathing, glassy-eyed knuckle dragging counter help.

back home we did too, til he couldnt turn a profit anymore...

That's why I try to do as much as I can with the "little guy", my local businesses. When they're gone we'll be at the mercy of the big box borgs.

Around here you can still go to any of the local Napa stores and get people who know what they are doing and pretty decent parts.

AWD Camry

The big news for the 1988 Camry was a V6 engine option and the availability of all-wheel drive (AWD). The 2.5-liter V6 boasted double-overhead cams (DOHC) with four valves per cylinder and kicked out 153 horsepower. This refined powerplant provided strong acceleration as well as very smooth and quiet operation. The AWD system, dubbed "All-Trac" and available only with the manual transmission, provided additional grip for those who lived in areas of the country prone to slippery driving conditions, such as the Northeast and the Midwest.

For 1989, the Camry All-Trac could be had with the automatic gearbox, but other than this, the car continued for the next two years virtually unchanged. As before, Toyota knew to leave well enough alone. As the Camry continued to garner praise and awards from various consumer publications for its high levels of build quality and reliability, sales continued to climb.

With production being increased at the Kentucky plant to help meet the demand for Toyota's jewel of a family car, the Camry became the fifth best-selling car in America. Antilock brakes became optional in 1991 on a few of the Camry models, specifically the LE V6 Sedan and Wagon and the All-Trac LE Sedan.
