So, what did you get?

So far only a shirt. I was going get a verizon RAZR, but that can wait it is just plastic , much happier to see my son get the goods.


I asked my friends not to get me anything, and to remember my son.
See he is 16 and has MD . He is almost totally immobile it is an awful disease. This may be his last Christmas, I have t to make them count.



So far he has received a new laptop PC. Today he gets a sound bar, a Sirius radio and subscription, plus more stuff. He is the best, I wish I could give him more, he has my heart.


Wiping a tear, he is my best little buddy, I love my boy.

I haven't opened mine yet but I'm fairly certain that one is a 12 pack of my favorite beer so that probably wont see tomorrow.
 
Wife got a Kindle Fire, we got a Blue ray player. Start Wars on Blu Ray is freaking awesome!

Your son having your heart means more to him than anything material that you could give him. I realize how much equipment it takes also.. I know my daughter knew how much unconditional love I had for her and her for me..before she passed. Loving your son is the most important precious gift that you can give him. Many Blessings to you and your family.. Merry Christmas. ♫
 
I got a 24 hour virus that basically cleaned out my inside if you know what I mean.
 
Greg, you have the best gift in the world --your son and his love.

I got a sweater and my hubby got a fleece shirt. But most of all, we spent Christmas with our friends and had a great time.

Hubby also got a $50 Lowes card and I got a $50 Barnes/Noble card. Bookstore here I come.:D

Thanks to all for the kind thoughts. A special needs child brings out the best in so many. Many people love and do care, it is a great thing to witness.

He is very blessed to have such an awesome dad in his life! He knows he is loved!
 
A new computer chair and a gopro hero HD

Old computer chair was 5...? years old? Maybe older. All the stuffing was gone, was basically sitting on plywood.

Hoping new chair will help my back problems. Couldn't so much as roll over in bed Saturday night without pain. Spent most of today laying on the couch. Dad says I'm too young (22) to be having back problems. GF took me to her chiro, and he popped 4 plates in my back to where they should have been. Just a matter of getting muscles to cooperate.

My girlfreinds the best! She got me a TFO BVK 9' 7wt Flyrod and a Lamson Waterworks flyreel.......and then told me I have to much stress in my life and need to go fishing more :D
If you dont hear from me for awhile I'll be at Mosquito Lagoon/Banana river chaseing Redfish and Speckeld Trout :D

Dude, as a man of about twice your age with serious back issues, I can tell you that the best thing you can do is get a good exercise program to do on your back everyday. The younger you start doing this, the better you will feel when you get older. It doesn't have to be anything very time consuming, but 15 minutes a day or so can have amazing results in the long run.

FlFlash, fishing is wonderful. Spent lots of summers with my grandfather -- although we preferred salt water. :D

Redfish and Speckeled trout are saltwater it's inshore fishing though.

Got me --- wasn't paying attention. We spent hours out on the bay chasing trout and redfish. I may still have the big saltwater rig my g'father gave me when I turned 13. Don't know if it got moved up here in 2003 ---
 
Got a billfold. I told the wife that she needs to know one thing about men. Their billfold is nothing like a woman's purse in which she can change every day, get a new one every other day etc. A man's billfold takes time to get broken in. I just got the one she bought be two years ago broken in and now she wants me to change. I probably will sooner rather than later, but women on this board, take note on this issue. Oh, the billfold wasn't the only thing she got me. I got a hand held, photo/document scanner. Really neat to scan old photos quickly. Both the wife and I have flat bed scanners, but they take a bit longer to use. We can sit on the bed and grab photos and run them through quickly with this little gadget. She also got me a new duffle bag with rollers. A little too big for carry on luggage, but will work out great for longer trips and such.

Wine drinkers note: I also got a bottle of my current favorite red wine, Casillero del Diablo Carmenere. If you love red wines and haven't tasted a Carmenere, give this one a shot. It's very affordable, around $11 a bottle.

 
A billfold every two years!? Be geebers! I've got a billfold that's older than Andy I"ll bet. Wife gave it to me in my hey day of fishing back in the early 80's. It's a tri fold made from shark skin. Showing some wear and tear but no one has refused the money held inside.

When I plank my butt on that billfold it cracks a smile.:D
 
btw, Iffen you like bourbon try to get a hold of some "Pappy Van Winkle" 20 years old and smoofer than a new born baby's butt. Rip Van Winkle bourbon is 12-15 years old and pretty good but Pappy is dabomb. $110 a qt. DAMHIKT:beerbang:

Got a new TV and the best thing ever, 2 days with my family. Hubby, both daughters and both grandchildren and it was great.

Buck my hubby and I got married in 81 and I have never, nor will I ever, give him a billfold. He don't buy me a purse and I don't buy him a billfold. :)

How sweet. Glad you had a great 2 days. We had the same here with the kids coming from out of town. BTW, if I ever attempted to buy a purse (here they call it a pocket book) for my wife, she'd hit me with it and tell me I didn't know what I was doing. How right she would be.
 
Regarding billfolds. Unlike leather the shark skin has a rough texture, it used to be rougher, but it still won't slip out of my pocket.

My wife and I have a understanding. If I need something, like a tool, I buy it. If she needs something she does the same. I often joke about buying her a new vacumm but I know giving a woman an appliance with a power cord is the kiss of death. :owquitit::D
