So what goes into a track setup?

Trying to learn more details about how the teams actually setup the cars for each track and why.
For example: If they are racing Dover, 1 mile, concrete, 9 and 24 degrees on the track. What would the setup look like? How does it differ from say a Restrictor race like Dega?

A restrictor plate setup has the car's rear end skewed to the inside of the track to take the spoiler at the back out of the airflow as much as possible for the least drag as possible. The tire camber (tilting inward at the top to help in cornering) is very little because speed not cornering is needed. On all the other tracks, it varies with the front camber, and the opposite skew to the right is needed to help the rear end of the car catch some air to help with cornering. A whole bunch more goes into it though. It's rocket science pretty much.

Welcome. I'm not a gamer, but my understanding is most of the online racing games will allow you to play with set-up. I don't know if any of them are free or have free trials, but that might be a good place to start. Maybe someone here that uses them can recommend a game or site.

Thanks for the info on that, it's helpful> I need to read more..
If you're the 78 team you just wait until Toyota delivers the car.
:D
Really? - I'm a 78 fan actually ( not a fair weather one either ). Are you just taking a swipe at Furniture Row and JBR?
