With the whole passing under the caution thing? Did he get penalized? If so that's another pile of donkey turd.

He just got sent back behind Matt, and the 2 guys got there laps back!
The leader takes the yellow and Matt took it off turn 4 and jeff kept full throttle to the line. Thats what the probelm is. I think they should do what the IRL does. Freeze the feild when a yellow comes out, if the race is under 20 laps to and a yellow comes out you race to the line, not slowing down to let cars back on the lead lap.

For once I agree with Paul, :D

I do know that a gentlemans agreement is just that, if one gentleman does not agree then its not worth the paper it is written on, but you can race to the line and Gordon did just that. He is racing Busch for a championship and that is one way to keep him from winning for sure. It is really getting aggrivating knowing that NASCAR makes the rules up as they go. :dual9mm:

Interesting!

According to the skeptics, the only reason Jeff Gordon wins is because of Ray Evernham. No wait. The only reason Jeff Gordon wins is because NASCAR makes sure he wins. No wait. The only reason Jeff Gordon wins is because......he's a good driver? IT CAN'T BE!!! Do you really think he knows how to drive a racecar?

I'm not for sure Mad Hatter, I mean look at his stats, he has a winning career, he has 4 championships, and anyone who and who doesn't watch Nascar pretty much knows the name...Jeff Gordon...!!!

Helton admitted that they made a wrong call. But that didn't help Jeffy after the fact. Could it be that Nascar was trying to help a Roush driver out. :D

And could it be that Gordon is so afraid Busch might win them all that he does such a stupid thing?A pure panic move, nothing else.

Hey Jeff.Do you have multiple teamates?Have you ever raced hard to get a lap back?

Of course Nascar does some stupid things.Always have always will...this time it just worked out for the wrong guys.Thats what all the fuss is about.Just strange after years and years of idiotic calls[like saturday, for instance]Helton picks this ONE call to apologize for.Guess Hendrick must have gave him a call.

:salute: (love this new smilie)

They totally changed the dynamic of the race by giving those guys their laps back. They make up rules and then they throw them out when they want to. Admitting your mistake after the fact is admirable, but it doesn't fix anything. If they refigured the finishing order of the race including putting those guys back to their rightful lap back position that would be more fair, but still not right. They would then lose valuable points as they should, but if NASCAR hadn't done such a stupid thing in the first place that would have changed their strategy for the rest of the race. Perhaps getting their laps back legally (what a concept). This whole thing just stinks to high heaven. NASCAR should just keep out of the competetive aspect of the actual race. But then, they wouldn't be NASCAR if they did.
