As we approach the end of 2011 we've found out where most people will be in the 2012 season. However we still have a few question marks.

David Ragan
David Reutimann
Brian Vickers

Will any of these three find a ride before February rolls around?

It would be an interesting stat...the number of drivers who have come and gone in the last ten or fifteen years . Seems like there has always been a certain amount of turnover each year. Funny how some folks like the Wallaces,Kenny and Mike, seem to stick around when others can't. Maybe three per year is close to the average.

If the economy was robust those three would all have rides. Sucks that the sponsors are not supporting teams like they used to. You can also blame their performances on their situations. But that should be obvious. I'm hopeful that 2012 will bring in some politicians (and hopefully a President) that actually want to improve the economy of the USA.

I would say more than 3 a year, looking back at the 2000 Season it is astonishing to see there is so few of guys still in the series. Makes you think by the end of this decade who will still be around?

There has always been a certain amount of turnover, but this year is kind of an anomaly where three previous winners are out of rides, including a previous (Busch) Nationwide champion. Usually a second tier team would jump at the chance to run any of those drivers. Crazier still is that Geoff Bodine, who hasn't competed with any success in over 10 years has a sponsor and ride!

Reutimann is a victum of his age, because it's hard to sell potential when a guy hits 40.

Ragan and Vickers had better rides for longer than 98% of Cup hopefuls ever get, and they didn't accomplish much.

I believe Ragan will end up somewhere and Reutimann will as well. Vickers on the other hand I'm not so sure. I haven't even heard of any rumors involving him.

TBR will have spomsorship for at least the first three races of 2012.
