Nissan Xcreta – A Gasoline-Free SUV

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

LOS ANGELES — Nissan has announced a new SUV that does not require high priced gasoline. The Xcreta, a standard size SUV, will instead use raw sewage to run its engine.

Ino Uwannabiya, Director of Sales for Nissan North America, said, "This vehicle frees the buyer from the ever increasing cost of gasoline, and uses a product that can be purchased for next to nothing. A driver with his own septic tank will not incur any cost for fuel at all."

The only drawback is that the Xcreta expels a substance that Nissan scientists call ‘Brown 29’ which can cause a build up near the exhaust system if the vehicle is left to idle in one place for too long. Another issue is that initial buyers of the car complained about the odor that the car emits.

"We have addressed that problem by offering the Xcreta with standard air conditioning,” said Uwannabiya. “Driving with the windows up should fix the problem."

Uwannabiya also poo-poos the issue of the line of Brown 29 that the car leaves on the road, saying that, "When home gardeners realize what a great fertilizer Brown 29 is, they will be rushing to our nation's highways to scrape up the product."

It is also recommended that the Xcreta not be driven at speeds of 100 mph or more as cars behind it could experience some "spattering" on their windshields.

A compact model, currently designated the ‘The Scentra 2.0,’ is being planned for the 2006 model year.
