.....Here are some of my thoughts for a new sponsor for the "Minor League" of major league racing.
The LOWE'S Racing Series –
This might not work because Home Depot would probably build a track right across the highway and run their own race. Decisions, Decisions!
The PILLSBURY Racing Series –
Chicken and Biscuits for everyone!
The HARLEY-DAVIDSON Racing Series –
They could implement a new rule that says you can only change two tires at a time.
The CRACKER-BARREL Racing Series –
Biscuits and Gravy for everyone!
The F.B.I. Racing Series –
Give them something to do with all their free time.
The JIMMY DEAN SAUSAGE Racing Series –
Sausage and Biscuits for everyone! (I see a theme developing here)
A partnership with Pillsbury would work quite nicely
The TOYOTA Racing Series –
Ford, Chevrolet and Dodge would likely take exception to this, but they did let Toyota come to the party in the first place.
The CAPITAL ONE Racing Series –
The new theme..... What's Left in Your Wallet??
The LIZ CLAIBORNE Racing Series –
This could make great strides in solving the NASCAR diversity issue.
The ROCKWELL AUTOMATION Racing Series –
They could even tell the teams who could drive the car.
The SOUTHWEST AIRLINES Racing Series –
The starting grid could be three wide - Row A, Row B, Row C
The WALT DISNEY Racing Series –
It's a Small World After All. Former park entertainers would make great tire changers.
The UPS Racing Series –
Forty two big brown trucks on the grid.... I like it!
The YOO-HOO Racing Series –
Who couldn't get into a racing series with a name like that!!
The STARBUCKS COFFEE Racing Series –
That's one way to get NASCAR to Washington!
The NASCAR FAN'S Racing Series –
Why don't each of us pony up five bucks and buy a piece of the action?
The MICHAEL WALTRIP Racing Series –
He does have a way of thinking big!
Anyway, you get the idea.
NASCAR wanted to have the new sponsorship in place by the end of November. Without a primary sponsor they might have to fund it themselves. That should carry them until 2021 or so.
If you have some good ideas for a NASCAR Busch Series Sponsor, let me know. I might have to do this again with all of your ideas.
