Some things noticed about Kevin Harvick's recent dominance

So, I did some scouring today out of boredom, and I found out just how dominant Kevin Harvick has been over the last two NASCAR seasons. I looked at only non-chase races, as chase races are just pure crapshoots.

After 44 races (since 2015 Daytona 500), these are the people that have led the standings most
  1. Kevin Harvick (SHR #4): 37 races [84.09%]
  2. Kyle Busch (JGR #18): 3 races [6.82%]
  3. Joey Logano (PKE #22): 2 races [4.55%]
  4. Denny Hamlin (JGR #11): 1 race [2.27%]
  5. Carl Edwards (JGR #19): 1 race [2.27%]
Noteables:
  • Kevin Harvick has won just three times in this span. In that span alone, Kyle Busch has earned 7 wins, though he was in less races,
  • Harvick is the only SHR driver to lead in points in this spam
  • All other drivers that have led points have also been in disputes with Kevin Harvick over their careers, though that's not really that impressive.
  • Surprisingly, Joey Logano has kept up with Harvick in the top 5 column. Logano has 23 to Harvick's 25.
  • Ryan Reed earned 2 top tens during this span. Sam Hornish Jr earned more in 26 races, and we all know how Hornish did last year.

Why do you say that? I used the fantasy racing cheatsheet's points page (it has a well to do points standing that documents points race-by-race), and it was discovered. It shouldn't be too hard to believe, with how dominant Harvick was last year and how consistent he is this year.

Reed? Hornish?
Just making a cheap joke at Ryan Reed's expense. He's earned 2 Xfinity top tens since the start of 2015, and if you exclude Daytona he's gotten none. Meanwhile, Sam Hornish Jr in the cup series #9 car last year alone earned three top tens, even though his season was absolutely, undeniably, terrible.

The startling fact that the other 4 have been involved in disputes with Kevin Harvick is my favorite element as regards his dominance.

Kevin is from Bakersfield.

I'm not sure if this is true because Harvick didn't lead the points in 7 out of ten chase races...so he'd have to have led the points in every other week...brb going to check this

Also there were 5 weeks he hasn't led the points this year. However, your greatest error seems to be the fact that there have been 54 races not 44 in that timeframe. Thus, the percentages are off.

Led the standings. I didn't read that correctly. My bad.
I was thinking leading laps and was thinking about Truex this year.

Seems pretty realistic to me just looking at it. The guy leads a ton of laps, finishes top 5, and wins at Phoenix twice a year. Harvick in a nutshell.
